Job Summary

The Transport Officer oversees the daily transportation operations of the company, including vehicle allocation, driver supervision, maintenance scheduling, and fuel monitoring. The position ensures the safe, efficient, and timely movement of personnel and materials in both the main and field offices.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transportation needs for staff and materials.
• Maintain and update vehicle logbooks and schedules.
• Monitor and record fuel consumption and prepare fuel usage reports.
• Supervise drivers and assign tasks based on operational needs.
• Ensure vehicles undergo regular maintenance and servicing.
• Keep vehicle documents (registrations) up to date.
• Coordinate emergency and unplanned transportation requirements.
• Plan transportation routes for efficiency and safety.
• Monitor GPS tracking systems for vehicle movement.
• Verify and approve transportation-related invoices and claims.
• Maintain records of driver licenses and renewal schedules.
• Develop and implement transportation policies.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and internal safety protocols.
• Assist field offices with transportation logistics.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transport coordination.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tracking software.
• Strong supervisory and reporting abilities.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Fluency in Dari , Pashto  and working knowledge of English.
