Job Summary

Specific Duties. The Vocational Coordinator will report to the Project Manager for program goals, tasks, and daily requirements consistent with a duly executed SOW, as directed by the KO. The Vocational Coordinator is responsible for overseeing vocational training programs and delivery of instructional programs to Students within the facility. Primary responsibilities include instructional plan development including but not limited to agriculture, tailoring, construction trades and skills, small business development, culinary skills, and custodial maintenance and the instruction of those courses, the use of testing and examinations, and providing the JTF 435 Reintegration Staff with feedback on student progress.

Duties include tracking vocational progress of each student through testing and evaluation. Testing should specifically focus on proficiency in a trade. The Vocational Coordinator will produce metrics to document program progress. The Vocational Coordinator will review existing curricula and develop new curricula as needed.
Implement a schedule of instruction that is consistent with good employment practices in Afghanistan. Instruction schedules will be approved by the ICG.
Provide substitutes in the event instructors are unable to meet scheduled class times.
Oversee training classes, sessions, and programs of instruction.
Prepare effective training tools, texts books, and training aids.
Coach, mentor, and evaluate instructors. Compile weekly participation and progress reports.
Distribute vocational materials to teachers in accordance with the policies of the facility.

Job Requirements

1. Minimum five years of experience in education or vocational training with experience working in adult education, training, administration, or management.

2. Must have received a degree from a recognized university. Such institution shall be one that has the approval or certification of the MOE. Credentials must be provided prior to hiring.

3. Must proficiently speak, read, and write Pashto, Dari, and English.
