Job Summary

The position announced is related to shelter programme run east area, Nangarhar province.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To plan for supplies of goods and services required by the NRC operation within Jalalabad.
• Implement internal controls and procedures within the operation to ensure adherence to standards of the procurement function.
• Receive the materials from the supplier as per agreed standards.
• Physically count the incoming and outgoing of materials.
• Stack the materials systematically ( first comes and first goes)
• Maintain and update the stock record manually and electronically.
• Maintain the material requests and delivery vouchers.
• Take the signature of drivers upon loading the materials.
• Arrange daily labours for unloading and offloading the materials.
• Make sure that material is reached on time and right destination in the field.
• Make sure that good quality and right quantity is delivered to the field.
• Prepare and submit the receipt and delivery summary to the immediate supervisor as and when required.
• Manage NRC’s warehouse ensuring that assets and stocks are well maintained at all time.
• Performs other duties when required.

Job Requirements

• At least high school level of education.
• Fluency in written and spoken Pasthu and English speaking as an asset.

Essential Skills
• Experienced in logistical and warehouse work with background from complex emergencies, and with experience from working in a difficult security environment
• Proven communication and negotiation and leadership skills
• Computer skills – MS Word and Excel
