AECOM/SIKA-East, Multi Location
The chawkidar will be working under supervision of the security operations officer and is responsible in overall overseeing of the office and compound and below responsibilities.
Ensure the safety of staff through observing and searching visitors.
Report any security related issues to the Field Services Officer.
Ensure that office assets are kept safe and properly maintained and report any issues to Field Services Officer.
Conduct first parade check of the compound and make sure nothing is displaced and make sure doors and windows of the office is kept locked after official hours.
Assist the Field Services officer in case of an emergency or evacuation of staff.
Maintain proper pedestrian and vehicle traffic movements inside the compound or compound perimeter.
Maintain proper log book of visitors and shift transition which is produced by the Field Services Officer.
Any other duties assigned by Supervisor
Common Duties:
Uphold the mission, values, and spirit of AECOM SIKA-East in coordinating the project and in interacting with all community members.
Follow and enforce all AECOM SIKA-East codes of conduct (worldwide and in-country), including but not limited to the Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Code of Conduct and Drug and Alcohol Policy. Report any violations to appropriate AECOM SIKA-East authority, and participate in preventative initiatives.
Follow and enforce all AECOM organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines (worldwide and in-country), including but not limited to personnel, security, communications, finance, procurement, and logistics. Report any violations to appropriate IRC authority.
Actively seek opportunities that will complement ability to fulfill position’s responsibilities as well as further professional development, such as taking part in internal and external trainings and participating on relevant advisory boards.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Some secondary school education is required. Secondary school graduates are preferred
From 1 to 2 years of experience in the similar positions is required, preferably with INGO/NGOs.
Familiarity with geographical area of the province/districts is required.
Good communication skills in Pashto and Dari
Level 1 English ability (rudimentary knowledge) is required.

Note: The actual salary of the successful candidate will be negotiated within the grade 1, 2, pay band, depending on qualifications and previous salary history. It is unlikely that an individual will be selected who does not already have the prior training and experience to fully perform at the grade 1,2, level, or who in some other way does not fully meet all requirements for the position. However, should such an individual be offered a position, the offered salary may be at less than the minimum salary in the grade 6 pay band.
