   • Identity Verification: To prevent fraud and ensure platform safety, we collect Government-Issued Identification (e.g., Passport, National ID, or Driver's License).
   • Payment & Tax Data: Bank account details or digital wallet addresses for fund disbursement and tax reporting.

3. Employers

   • Business Verification: We collect official Business Licenses, Tax Identification Numbers, and proof of incorporation to verify the legitimacy of hiring entities.
   • Corporate Data: Company name, industry, headquarters address, and recruiter contact information.

4. Technical Data (All Users)

   • IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, and session activity collected via cookies and similar tracking technologies.

The collection of IDs and Business Licenses is a mandatory requirement for platform security.

• Purpose: These documents are used solely to verify the identity of the user and the legitimacy of the business entity.
• Storage & Encryption: Sensitive documents (IDs/Licenses) are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and are stored in restricted-access environments.
• Third-Party Verification: We may use secure third-party identity verification services to process these documents. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than verification.

We process your information under the following legal frameworks:

• Contractual Necessity: To facilitate employment and freelance contracts.
• Legitimate Interest: To maintain a "Bot-Free" and "Scam-Free" environment through rigorous user vetting.
• Legal Obligation: To comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations where applicable.

We do not sell your personal data. Data sharing is limited to:

• Marketplace Functionality: Sharing a Jobseeker/Freelancer's professional profile with a prospective Employer.
• Verification Results: We may display a "Verified" badge on your profile once your ID or License has been approved; however, the actual documents remain private and are never visible to other users.
• Legal Compliance: Disclosure to law enforcement or regulatory bodies if required by a valid legal order.

• Algorithmic Matching: We use AI to help match Freelancers and Jobseekers with relevant postings.
• Human-in-the-Loop: Verification of IDs and Business Licenses involves human review to ensure accuracy. You have the right to contest any automated account suspension resulting from a failed verification.

Under 2026 global standards, you have the following rights regarding your data:

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the data we hold, including your verification status.
• Right to Deletion: You may request the deletion of your account. Note that we may retain certain verification data (such as a hash of an ID) for a limited period to prevent banned users from creating new accounts.
• Right to Correction: Update any outdated business licenses or contact information.

• Professional Profiles: Retained while the account is active.
• Verification Documents: Once a document is verified, we may delete the original image and retain only the verification "Success" status and relevant metadata, unless local laws require longer retention for tax or audit purposes.

jobs.af operates globally. Your data, including sensitive verification documents, may be transferred to and processed in secure data centers located outside your home country. We utilize Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure high-level data protection during these transfers.
