Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international, non-profitable, non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its head quarter in Birmingham, UK. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Summary

At Islamic Relief Worldwide Afghanistan, we are committed to providing young talents with the tools and opportunities to advance and grow professionally, in alignment with our core values: Sincerity, Excellence, Custodianship, Compassion, and Social Justice. In this regard, we have launched a program under the HELP Project Youth Component, aimed at hiring and developing young graduates. This initiative equips them with the necessary skills to succeed in future positions across various departments, while enhancing their employability in the local job market.

The program focuses on building a talent pool that is well-rounded, strengthening both technical abilities and essential behavioral/life skills. Additionally, it provides young individuals with the chance to refine their skills, share their experiences, and contribute meaningfully in a professional context.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting field visits to observe and document the livelihood activities implemented by the organization.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining records of participants, reports, and evaluations related to livelihood training or activities.
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating skill development workshops or sessions for beneficiaries under the livelihood program.
  • Assist in gathering data and feedback from project beneficiaries to support program improvement and monitoring.
  • Assist in identifying and engaging potential stakeholders and partners to enhance the livelihood program's impact.
  • Assist in creating awareness and trainings materials 

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Fresh graduates with bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business administration, Economics Social Sciences, and other relevant fields.


Competency:

  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Good command of English, Pashto, and Dari for effective communication with stakeholders.
