About Islamic Relief Worldwide

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international, non-profitable, non-governmental humanitarian relief organization with its head quarter in Birmingham, UK. It enjoys consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and is a signatory to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and red Crescent Moments and NGOs in Disaster Relief. Islamic Relief has been working in Afghanistan for more than 23 years, providing emergency relief and implementing life-changing development projects for some of the most vulnerable people in the country. Islamic Relief set up our first Afghanistan office in 1999. Since then, IRA continued providing assistances in emergency relief, food security, livelihood, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

Job Summary

We are seeking dedication and compassion. Teacher Intern to support our educators in creating a positive and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will assist in both classroom instruction and administrative duties, contributing to the academic and social development of students.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing and organizing lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Set up and maintain classroom equipment and resources (e.g., projectors, lab kits).
• Monitor and record student attendance, class schedules, and relevant documentation.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties, reinforcing classroom material.
• Support remedial teaching sessions for students requiring additional academic help.
• Supervise and accompany students during field trips and school events, ensuring their safety and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly classroom environment prior to and during class sessions.
• Aid teachers in grading assignments, preparing progress reports, and communicating with parents regarding student development.
• Foster a supportive atmosphere to help students adapt socially and emotionally and report any behavioral concerns to the lead teacher.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Graduated from degree 14/16 in Education, teacher training TTC, law and another related fields

Experience:

• No Experience Required- Fresh Graduate

The duty station of the intern/s will be the host entities ( Mashal Private School and Balhika Private School ) the salary will be paid by Islamic Relief Worldwide-Afghanistan ( IRW-A) office based on agreement
